a docking bay is installed into the case, the reader then uses the docking bay to connect to the system

there's a button on the face of the docking bay that easily pops the reader out...

i'm not quite sure what you meant by platform

I may have missed it in your review, but I was wondering if the platform allowed the unit to be easily removed without opening up the case. Of course that would leave a large hole in the front of your case.

I only know of the new memory stick and the xD cards, which one is the 3rd?

with 9 in 1 readers out now I wonder if they will release one with additional media types? I mean as of now it isnt anything major but eventually those other types wil lbe used more widely.

Still, that looks bad ass so thats very cool.

We've a new review on what may be one of the best media card readers in the industry. Here's a taste:

<i>"The first thought that crossed my mind when I got ahold of this reader was that SilverStone definitely has something special on their hands. This unit, easily sets itself apart from the competition with both internal and external installation capabilities. The reader's enclosure functions as a docking bay for installation into the PC. The reader itself can function completely outside of the PC independent of the enclosure. The enclosure itself offers a spare USB port for easy access to USB functions via the front of the PC - a BIG plus in my book."</i>
