Re: Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (7559) Review - Portable Gaming on a Budget

It comes with a hybrid drive not an SSD.

I found it unusual as well about not offering 16GB RAM.

Just got one a week ago. Added a 1TB SSD and boosted it to 16GB RAM (for some reason you can't upgrade from 8 when ordering). I added the 4k screen too. It can handle Arkham Knight @ 1080. Running it at 4k is like watching it in slow motion (but it looks amazing). My one gripe is that the M.2 slot c...

I've seen that happen recently with some of my clients POS systems. They login as admin users but will not have access to certain files (to modify). Resetting UAC fixes the issue. Ran the usual to make sure nothing was on the systems. Nothing found.

Interesting (and kinda sad) I wonder if only the USN will have access to the updates. Also, does it include patches to IE8?

remote management software

Looking for software (the cheaper the better) that can manage what software is installed on many systems (none would be local to the admin system, no VPNs ,etc, basically many very small networks located across the city), so I could deploy and manage things like Java, Adobe reader, etc, so if a new ...

Exchange/domain setup ?s

Ok, I (for the 1st time) ventured into the land of the MS domain and using Exchange. Everything works fine but I want to setup external access to our Exchange server so we can access our emails without having to fire up a VPN tunnel. Any good reading material/tips on how to setup our system so we ca...

What if I throw 1 curveball.....I do have an Intel DQ57TM motherboard I'd 'like' to use if possible, but it only has 1 16x PCI-E slot and no 8x slots. If it's unrealistic to use this board then I won't

Haven't bought any hardware yet, so I'm open. The only thing I have are the 4 monitors (all standard VGA connectors). This will be replacing an old system with an AGP NVidia Quadro card that was running the 4 monitors.

Win 7 would be the OS

Any recommendations for a card that can run 4 19" monitors as 1 desktop. There will be NO gaming on this system.

HD recovery service

Any recommend one. Have a friend who has the click of death and of course has no other backup and is willing to pay the crazy rates, so if anybody can recommend a recovery service they have used I would appreciate it.

I remotely clean systems with a decent success rate fairly regularly. I use PCDuo remote control. It's a paid app, we sell it with our software suite.
