Believe it or not i have solved my cooling problem, accidently. My mainboard died and i had to get a new one, i bought the Asus A7N8X. Now my temps are well within normal values. I find it hard to believe that a motherboard could cause temps to soar by over 15 degrees C. i'm idling at 39-40C and und...

Porblem solved. As I mentioned earlier I reapplied the Arctic Silver III according to the instructions on their website, this has solved my problem. After running Starfleet Command 3 for 45 minutes the CPU reached a max. temp. of 52C running at 1400MHZ and it idles at 48C. I am satisfied with these ...

I just reapplied Arctic Silver III according to the instructions on their web site. I have 5 case fans, 3 in and 2 out not including power supply fan. My CPU is running at it's normal clock speed, in fact i had it underclocked to 800MHZ to reduce temps and i was still hitting 54C while playing Starf...

T-Bird Temps vs. TBred Temps.........
What are the typical temps for the 2400 T-Bred? I am currently running a 1.4 T-bird that regularly hits between 62-64C under load. I want to upgrade to the 2400 "B" but i'm worried that the temps will be the same. I am using an AX-7 HS with a 3500 RPM Sunon(very loud) and Arctic Silver III...

Thoroughbred "B" core
Has anyone found the "B" core? I was wondering what operating temps would be. I was thinking of buying "2400", but i want to be sure it's the "B" core.

i mean no offence to anyone, but it's guys like us (modders) who make alot of the cool and functional discoveries that eventually make it to a final product on the market. WE figure out what works and someone copies it and makes money!!! So i'm trying all avenues to cooling before i drop my $300 Can...

i was thinking more along the lines of a big rubbermaid garbarage bin. you know, like 20 or 30 gallons or whatever. This way the temp would rise in the water but with so much water in there at room temp it would take a really long time. With that setup i don't think i would need a radiator. Also, my...

Getting fooled by XBOX owners?
Some guy is trying to sell me a used XBOX. That's fine but i already have a pretty decent PC and i have all the fun i need on that. But there are a couple of games out for the XBOX that i would love to play. My question is: since microsoft makes the XBOX will those games be available on the PC platf...

i think AMD is just biding it's time. i'm a big fan of the underdog and AMD is it. Some time soon they're gonna drop a bomb on Intel. I think right now they're just letting Intel feel comfy until they open up the nitros. After all, the best things come to those who wait..........besides, i'd rather ...

I just bought the most versatile tool ever. Why? Case modding of course!! I have been having cooling problems with my AMD 1.4 T-Bird but i struck a damaging blow to the heat by buying the dremel. I cut 3 holes into my case. Here's the fan setup: I now have 2 fans sucking air out the back, 2 fans blo...
