I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope that things go smoothly.

Re: Power PDF Standard 3.0 Mini-review (PDF viewer/editor)

I've been using the Adobe version and can attest to the fact that it plays havoc with other programs in odd ways. I just can't seem to find an alternative editor that I like though.

Re: electrical short in my convertible ?

You might also check to make sure your trunk or hood lights are going out when closed (if you have them). Frequently the switches get stuck.

Re: Bicycles you own / ride

I have a bike, (Schwinn), but I can't say that I make good use of it. I'm a once or twice a year kind of guy.

That's exactly why I only buy XFX video cards. They've taken care of me several times.

I just hope I'm still around for these guys to make a huge stride (moon base, Mars mission, etc.).

This is the new norm. I treasure the few companies that have responded to an e-mail.

Re: Need some advise on repairing a broken piece of aluminum

Honestly, if you know someone with experience, brazing is the way to go. If you had something that could make enough heat, you could probably do it yourself, but a machinist would be able to make short work of it (likely less than 30 minutes). Search for some videos on brazing cast aluminum.
