ANy suggestions on what the high temp should be if i only want the processor for 2 years?

I believe you are a little high...correct me on this though (I dont have a barton yet). But may I ask...does the retail box come with anything to put between the heatsink and cpu? Like thermal grease or sumat like that?

I dont think that Intel will do that. Most major computer manufactorers use Intel products and not amd. And believe it or not, intel has some decent processors on the x86 level. Intel would lose some MAJOR bussiness if they cut their pentium line(There are very few 64bit software programs out there)...
