If you already have XP pro go for that by a large margin, winME is total crap and I've never seen it working well for anyone longer than the first month or so.

That might be the lamest lock I've ever seen, not that I'm at all suprised but still its pretty weak.

I use mailwasher too and bounce back probably 90% of my mail daily, the annoying ones are where you bouce mail back as no such user every day and they just keep coming.

Do you run a firewall? Make sure port 137 incoming is blocked, I've been getting pages of requests to hit that and they all are rejected.

Before you go reporting him are you allowed in your terms of service by your ISP to be running servers? If not they might point right back at you. And if the ftp is full of less than legit software you might not want to be broadcasting how he hacked it to the authorities.

I have the z560s and really like them quite a bit. I only paid like $114 shipped though on some dell deal awhile back, those things are way sweet but no way I would pay $400 for them.
