it's got integrated audio to simplify pass-through HDMI audio. it's been this way since 3800 series, tmk.

at this point, for a decent system it'd be crazy to get any other proc than an e8400 (for dual core) or q9300 (for quad core).

i have a problem with any game that perpetuates the myth that shooting C4 = it blows up.

C4 is stable. it cant be blown up due to physical shock or heat.

I had contemplated raid 5. If I'm correct, the merits of using it over raid 1 is that I will end up with 1.5TBs of space instead of 1TB. if you use raid1 with 4 drives, you're going to have 4 copies of the same thing. ie, 1 drive's capacity. i assume you're talking about a nested raid here, either ...

into windows explorer, type the IP address of the sharing computer. it should show up with a printer. click add printer.

this board combined with the cheapest 775 proc u can find, some DDR2, and 4 1tb WD Greenpower drives in raid5, giving u total 3 TB to play around with.

i have a k7s5a pro, but i havent fired it up in 2 years and it had tendency to forget bios settings. (not anything serious, but occasionally my xp2400 turned into an xp1800 cause the 133 bus defaulted back to 100)

the flash drives i use do 30-35 MB / sec with bench programs (hdtach)

but when i try copying a CD image to it, (700 mb or so) it goes down to 8 MB / S.
