ok, so far i haven't done jack to fix the problem, so i just cotinued on i played warcraft 3 yesterday, the computer restarted, so i'm assuming the temp must have reached 70C, so the comp auto shut down, i opened the side panel really quick, touched the heatsink fins, they were burning up. what shou...

well this is what i've done so far i turned my computer on today, i i turned on aida32 and mbm5, they read at normal temps like 25 C then in a couple of seconds, they changed, mbm5 says 75C, and aida32 says 69C, i opened my side case to check if the fins on the case was hot, THEY ARE NOT HOT, ARGHHH...

well, i dl aida32, and it read my cpu at 78C-80C, motherboard is at around 76C, both programs stated that these were this high, except my bios which is weird, so now what

i restarted my computer and i went to bios, i check the cpu temp and it said 39 - 40 C, wtf, when i exited and started windows, i logged into mbm5 and the temp was still at 75, wtf, which one do i believe, the bios or mbm5, the cpu did turn off on me yesterday, o ya, can some1 give me a site to anot...

well lets see, i did put thermal compund the first time i put the heatsink over the chip, my motherboar is a ECS elitegroup P4 motherboard L4VXA2

my friend told me i have to buy some thermal compund, and apply to the copper, he told me that the heat rubbed it off, if i get some, would that resolve the problem?

hmm, ok, i'll try that, but the thing is that my computer turns off sometimes, and i have to wait a few seconds before turning it back on
