Re: How a Phoenix record store owner set the audiophile world on fire

I have a few MoFi albums and they do sound great but I smell a class action lawsuit. Honestly, if you can find a Very Good to Near Mint recording of the original issue, you'll probably be more that happy with it. Most modern mastering is crap. I buy a lot of music and it's rare to hear something tha...

Re: Website Connection Issues

Thanks for the help FP. I got annoyed with the Netgear and drove to Best Buy and bought an ASUS AX-5400. They had a Ubiquity but it was their mesh offering and that's not what I was looking for. So far so good (knock on wood).

Re: Website Connection Issues

I made the mistake and bought a Netgear Router. I tried re-flashing the firmware and then completely reset the router to factory defaults. I'm still seeing issues. I hated the setup on this since the day I got it because it forces you to use their app. I wish I'd not put up with it. Live and learn.

Re: Website Connection Issues

I tried messing around on my Daughter's laptop and I'm seeing issues. I think it's the router. I'm now remembering that these issues started after a firmware update.

Re: Website Connection Issues

Thanks FP. You know what helps? Entering the correct IP for Open DNS. I checked my settings against what you posted above and I had 208.68.222.222 as my primary. My secondary was correct. I also reset the TCP/IP stack and checked the proxy just in case. When I was having intermittent issues earlier,...

Website Connection Issues

I'm stumped. On my main rig that's wired directly to my router, I'm having issues connecting to websites. I'll get the "we're having trouble connecting to..." error. I got it when I just tried coming here. When I refresh once or twice, it goes just fine. I replaced my Ethernet Cable and re...

I need to replay these again. In the time I actually feel like playing something, I've been playing Elden Ring.

Re: Odd PC Issue - Possible Hard Drive failing

Thanks for the Suggestion FP. So far the 980 Pro seems fine. One day I'll reformat the 970 EVO and check it. The only issue I'veseen is that Chrome will still occasionally freeze up when multiple windows are open. Mine froze when I had Twitch and G-Mail open. I'll just use Firfox instead. I'm guessi...

Re: Odd PC Issue - Possible Hard Drive failing

I replaced it today. So far so good with the new drive.

What would I use to force the old drive to swap out the cells? I may use it as a secondary drive at some point.

Odd PC Issue - Possible Hard Drive failing

Last night I was watching a stream in Firefox and decided to open Chrome. Chrome immediately shut down. I tried again and the same thing happened. I checked the Windows logs (application and system) and there was nothing indicating an issue. I tried reinstalling Chrome and again it shut down as soon...

Re: Far Cry 5 - not my cup of tea

While Elden Ring is balls hard, it's the best open world game I've played since Zelda: Breath of the Wild. There's absolutely no hand holding. The open world really helps as if you come up against a boss that's too hard, you can run away and do something else until you're strong enough to beat them....
