Well more than just two posts, he/she necro'd like 8-10 posts that day when I posted that about them.

Curious what a reverse lookup says about them. Human spam bot in China? AI Bot?!?! :)

Sucks that php still leaves entries in the posts. Is there any sort of cleanup process that can remove them all?

Re: New Monitor?

I've recently made a slight upgrade to my 4 monitor setup (3x 24" side-by-side and 1x 24" above them). I kept finding myself having to undock windows from Visual Studio and moving them to other monitors. I don't like having a mixture of monitors, especially sizes. This means upgrading moni...

Re: Phone VS.Digital Camera

For our last vacation we decided to forgo the DSLR, but wanted something more than just our phones. It seemed almost a crime to go somewhere as beautiful as Banff with just a phone. We ended up getting a Canon SX60HS and were very happy with it. Not too big, great zoom for it's size and pics too.

I froze mine as soon as that whole Equifax mess hit. I've only unlocked it once since then when I got my business credit card.

Re: Chrome 69 hides the http://www - there's a flag to turn it back on

There are also security concerns, some pointed out in the article. For instance, some companies don't own their m. subdomain. For example, m.tumblr.com, which is not Tumblr's site, is shown as tumblr.com, and it's not Whoa...ok so, I don't use tumblr so I couldn't tell you what I'm looking at, but ...

Re: Chrome 69 hides the http://www - there's a flag to turn it back on

I like to see the whole thing. I equate it to hiding file extensions. It's not just www - it's any subdomain Chrome considers 'trivial'. Ok, I think that's going a little overboard. Other, actual subdomains aren't trivial and aren't going to be removed. www is definately trivial and in 2018 there's...

Thanks for the info. I like to know the sub-domain, regardless of what Google might think.

Why? Seriously, I'd like to know. It's not about removing all sub-domains. For me, having every website with www seems pointless in this day and age.

Re: New 128GB SSD $29

Nothing great but ANY SSD is faster than a HDD. A cheap drive like this may not be reliable in the long run so I wouldn't trust it with critical data, but if you want to improve the performance of a laptop, what the heck. Guess, I'm beta testing it for you :) I've been running it since Friday. The whole default do not disturbed annoyed me for a bit. Need to tweak it, but for now I have it disabled, I kept missing the wife's calls. Other than that I haven't messed around with it much. Nothing found to be broken yet, j...

YouTube bans Alex Jones, following Facebook and Apple’s lead https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2018/08/youtube-bans-alex-jones-following-facebook-and-apples-lead/ Now if only they'd give back all the money they made of him to the families that this mother fucker has been harassing all these years.

Re: How an Ex-Cop Rigged McDonald’s Monopoly Game and Stole Millions

There was a big biding war for the rights to the movie, 20th Century Fox with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon got the rights for 1 million. In the end, it was 20th Century Fox and Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's Pearl Street Films' bid of $1 million — a huge sum for an 8,700-word web feature — that beat out...

Re: Trying out Start10 - Classic Shell replacement

I've been using it on all my computers for years now. I've only recently stopped using it on Windows 10 and just got used to their menu. Between pinning to the task bar and the tiles on the popup menu, I access my every day apps. But for those that still want the classic menus, I've never had any is...
