I was about to say, makes sense. That place has some crazy history. I think that's where the dude robbed a bank wearing a bomb around his neck.

Did we always get those small image icons in the messages?

It's because the image on his signature is using a non-ssl URL and our forum is SSL now, so unless you change your browser settings to allow non-SSL to be mixed with SSL, your browser won't load the content.

FYI, this device is pretty dam nice for cloning drives: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005C983NA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Macrium is also my preferred cloning software. I used Acronis for many years as well, but now it's pretty much just Macrium. https://www.macrium.com/ref...

Curious what a reverse lookup says about them. Human spam bot in China? AI Bot?!?! :)

Sucks that php still leaves entries in the posts. Is there any sort of cleanup process that can remove them all?

Re: New Monitor?

I've recently made a slight upgrade to my 4 monitor setup (3x 24" side-by-side and 1x 24" above them). I kept finding myself having to undock windows from Visual Studio and moving them to other monitors. I don't like having a mixture of monitors, especially sizes. This means upgrading moni...

Re: Phone VS.Digital Camera

For our last vacation we decided to forgo the DSLR, but wanted something more than just our phones. It seemed almost a crime to go somewhere as beautiful as Banff with just a phone. We ended up getting a Canon SX60HS and were very happy with it. Not too big, great zoom for it's size and pics too.

I froze mine as soon as that whole Equifax mess hit. I've only unlocked it once since then when I got my business credit card.

Re: Chrome 69 hides the http://www - there's a flag to turn it back on

There are also security concerns, some pointed out in the article. For instance, some companies don't own their m. subdomain. For example, m.tumblr.com, which is not Tumblr's site, is shown as tumblr.com, and it's not Whoa...ok so, I don't use tumblr so I couldn't tell you what I'm looking at, but ...

Re: Chrome 69 hides the http://www - there's a flag to turn it back on

I like to see the whole thing. I equate it to hiding file extensions. It's not just www - it's any subdomain Chrome considers 'trivial'. Ok, I think that's going a little overboard. Other, actual subdomains aren't trivial and aren't going to be removed. www is definately trivial and in 2018 there's...

Thanks for the info. I like to know the sub-domain, regardless of what Google might think.

Why? Seriously, I'd like to know. It's not about removing all sub-domains. For me, having every website with www seems pointless in this day and age.
