You don't need any special driver for a USB keyboard. WinXP/2K has it's own drivers. The software that came with it is only for the special buttons. Works for me on all my systems Pred.... ah, but I have a retail version, maybe that's the difference... Although it seems that I've disabled it on free versions as well with no problems.

I just disable the system tray icon, then remove it from the startups in msconfig. Turn off all the auto-update crap.
