My suggestion...
I've cut plenty of those fan holes out, and each one was performed with a pair of aviation snips (or metal shears). I use these shears to but lots of metal pieces - windows in the case sides, interior metal braces, etc. I bought a few new ones several months ago at Home Depot for $15 each. You'll ne...

Be sure to...
...cover the vent holes from the inside, and carefully mask off the screen. It's hard to remove overspray once it's on there. And what dangers are there to adding some cold cathode tubes inside the CRT case? I'm thinking about doing that to my latest project with dual 21" CRTs: http://ubpcrevie...

Nice!
I like the case design, especially the window. I wouldn't stealth the drives, but instead color match them to the case. I don't personnally like stealthed drives. :p You like my latest project? http://ubpcreviews.com/Bigal-HP/HP-LaserJet-4Si-MX102a.JPG http://ubpcreviews.com/Bigal-HP/HP-LaserJet-4Si...

I'm not sure they're still in....
...business. I have seen lots of empty promises from them over the last year. I won't order laser-etched windows anymore, as they couldn't deliver on the last item I wanted. Check out their site, and you'll see what I mean. I suggest you find another site that will make the grill for you.

If that's the Thoroughbred "A" core...
...then forget it. If it's the Thoroughbred "B" core, with the extra layer to prevent stray capacitance, then you might have a chance. I have an XP 2000+ Thoroughbred "A" core, and it wouldn't overclock very much. My XP2100+ overclocks easily though. With that old VIA KT266A moth...

How about....
....a nice dragon picture to use as a stencil for cutting a custom window on the side panel? That would make any case a dragon-themed case. :D Maybe a clear case with dragon fan grills would work; check this out.....(found in a search) http://commandperformance.net/pcmods/Captured%202004-03-13%20000...

Yeah...
....good work, especially using the phone camera. Cold cathodes work out well if you can't see the tubes when looking in the window. I like placing them along the edge of the window, or towards the front - on both sides of the drive cages.

Well, no sooner did I post that last message that guess what showed up - The July 2004 issue of Maximum PC! Flipping to the back page, my heart sank (just a little mind you) - I didn't win. The lucky guy is Dustin Walker with his homage to Frank Lloyd Wright. He built his case from the ground up - w...

It's too bad the remote linking is no longer functional. At least you can right-click the image, copy the link, and paste it into another browser to see the picture. What a pain.... By the way, it's not looking good for winning the Maximum PC Rig of the Month contest. One more issue to go...

Knowing that Artic Silver contained a large amount of silver (Contains 99.9% pure silver), I figured that it would have to be somewhat electrically conductive. However, I checked their website and found this: Arctic Silver 5 was formulated to conduct heat, not electricity. (While much safer than ele...
