Re: Wonder Woman 1984 - OMG what a piece of crap!

I haven't seen it yet but I'll watch it regardless, just to form my own opinion. TY, as it should be. Come on people, form your own opinions! Personally I liked it as a decent popcorn flick, but my opinion is somewhat influenced on it being included with HBO Max and with Covid, seeing anything new ...

The SSD I use for backups, was a bit slower at the beginning, rest was fine. No NVME driver, so couldn't test anything else.

Re: How to add shortcuts to this area of Open Shell

Yea, with the new application list you lose control of organizing that and I think that's just in order to implement the letter index. The area where you create the tiles, you can organize and set groups (name them) and configure the tiles. You can also create folders, like on android where you drop...

Re: How to add shortcuts to this area of Open Shell

Am I correct in assuming that the new start menu changes were rolled out in 20H2? Because I haven't seen them. Still running 1909 on everything. I read about the changes but haven't seen them. I'm not sure, I run a few versions behind due to my testing. I first upgrade a VM, then my sons, then my c...

Re: How to add shortcuts to this area of Open Shell

You can't (unless they fixed it) easily drag items from the start menu program list to the desktop. Ok, I can see that being an issue. But I hate messy/cluttered desktops so I guess that's why it's less of an issue for me. I hate application shortcuts on the desktop. If I need something more access...

Re: How to add shortcuts to this area of Open Shell

Can't stand the new menu. I tried. You'll have to tear my copy of open shell from my cold, dead hands. :) What exactly don't you like? Because, again, what I see is that it's pretty much the same, but moved around a bit with additional features. Are the menu items that were on the right not there n...

Re: How to add shortcuts to this area of Open Shell

bunch of old farts....Windows 10 has an actual start menu. A little different, but a compromise between the classic menu with some of the new features. 1. All Programs is just listed, not an additional click (All Programs) to click on 2. The user, documents, pictures, control panel, settings is a sm...

Re: replacement warranty problem ?

Between covid and the holidays, yea I can easily see supply issues. A lot of companies are having running into inventory issues at one point or another so not surprised. At least you have a claim in before the warranty expired. Just make sure you have saved documents (ex. emails, claim number, dates...

Re: HBO Max free for Xfinity customers - including Wonder Woman 1984 in 4 days

HBO Max streaming service is now included for all Xfinity X1 users. I just activated it on my boxes because the wife wants to see Wonder Woman 1984 when it comes out on the 25th (all Warner Brothers films released next year will be available on HBO Max the same day it's released in theaters). It wa...

Re: Santa Deliver to you for 2020

Congrats! Nothing this year. Been adjusting to living the frugal/covid life :) which helped when I got hit for 12K to replace my roof. I knew it was coming up in a few years, so I guess it all worked out that we got forced to not spend money on so much crap.
