Re: Building A Massive L-Shaped Desk For A Better Workflow, More Monitors & Space

I love threads like these, they make me clean my office! :) I finally got to go all out on my office when we bought our house here in Georgia. I went with the Ikea Galant system (before they fucked it all up and switched to rounded corners, essentially killing their entire modular desk market). It'...

Re: Building A Massive L-Shaped Desk For A Better Workflow, More Monitors & Space

Thank you. Very nice setup. My wife and I share a small office where there isn't a lot of room to build out. I have other space I could build something in, but I enjoy yakking with her while we use the computers. Yea, my office is big enough, it's what is typically the "formal" living room...

Re: Fix for slow loading Printers & Devices window in Win8/10

Yea, I just fixed this issue as well last week. I have a Xonar audio card, so I don't even need the Realtek one. I uninstalled the driver, rebooted into the bios and disabled it altogether. Booted into windows and bam, the issue disappeared.

Geezes, my 2014 has 420-hp, but dam 727? Just not sure if that's worth an extra 8K.

Re: Anyone using the new Acronis 2016?

Yea, the features that they've been removing over time is what's kept me on 2014. I read horrible reviews about the features they've taken out, but yea, when it comes down to their core (imaging and restoring) I've never found anyone better.

Re: Possible video Card upgrade

Amazon dropped the price to $315 so I got Microcenter to match it on top of them having a $25 rebate. So I got a brand new GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+ for essentially $290+tax. Even with the tax it was still cheaper than anywhere else. The bad thing is having to replace all my monitor cables that are DVI t...

Re: LED vs CFL color spectrum

I've been loving my LED bulbs. I keep an eye on the Cree deals at Home Depot. They've been the best LEDs so far. I love those LED strips. I think I might replace all my shop lights with them. One issue I do have is how low dimmable LED lights dim. They are still much brighter than a regular bulb. I'...
