Re: Roomba bot vs dog poop = Poopocalypse
I totally believe this is true. This isn't the first story I've read about a Roomba PooPocalypse. They have no sensors to detect poop. They just run over it and continue to drag it around the house like nothing is happening. They definitely need to build in a PooSensor.

Re: Mythbusters build team reunites for Netflix series in new trailer
They were always really my favorite part of the old Mythbusters. Seems like they were just more entertaining than the other two later in the series. Don't get me wrong, I love Jamie and Adam. They started up Tested, which I also enjoy, but it looks like Jamie removed himself from it and it's Adam's ...

Re: Weird problem trying to upgrade boot drive
Have you tried using Samsung's Data Migration software? When I upgraded from a 240GB PNY to a 512GB Samsung, I used it out of an abundance of laziness, and it did pretty good. You can get it from their Tool and Software downloads page. http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools...

Re: "Logan" - Official Trailer
Okay, so a number of things. One, this comes out on my birthday. Awesome present. Two, Johnny Cash's Hurt as the background music for this is amazing. Three, I've heard rumors that this will be the last movie with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Patrick Stewart as Xavier. Which is megasad. And four......

Just need a really skinny guy to dress up in green and tights, then swing on that chandelier, and we'd be all set.

Re: Gaming controller
Mouse and keyboard for most things. For anything that needs a controller, I use a wireless Xbox 360 pad with one of the USB to Wireless Xbox adapters plugged into the PC. Every once in a while I'll whip out the G27, but it rarely gets used as I don't have the space. Moving next week, so it may be ab...

$45 check to me! Huzzah. Not bad for about 5 minutes filling out a form.

Re: Splashtop an alternative to Logmein and GotoMyPC
It's a shame, I remember when LogMeIn was THE tool to use. I loved the free version and had it on all my family's PCs so that I could remote in and help with whatever issues they were having. Such a shame they've gone so far off the deep end.

For such a low price, do it. Worth the little hassle for huge reward later on.

Re: Desktop Screenshot Thread
I try to keep my desktop as uncluttered as possible. Icons I use the most on the left, some games and emulators along the top, and folder shortcuts along the right on my main screen, while the top screen is used for Skype, Steam Friend's list, and various open messaging windows. I am currently using...

Re: find your old car ad !
My uncle had a 1968 Pontiac Bonneville when I was growing up. I really didn't know or remember much about it. I was way too young at the time. I just remember it was loud and it was fast, and I loved it and I miss it. We had so many neat cars when I was growing up, and I wish we had kept all of them...

Re: What a car with a zero crash test score looks like
Seriously, how can that car be sold -ANYWHERE- with a crash rating like that? Or forget the crash rating, how can any one in the company who knows how dangerous that car is in an accident let it be sold? Holy jeez...

Seconded on the Toshiba drives. I have a few kicking around at home, as well as a small stack at work I use for machine backups and the like. Never had one fail on me yet. That bundle is awesome too, I'm going to have to remember that next time I need to restock.

My roommate's cat is named Karma. So when I say 'Karma is a b***h' it has a double meaning. I think it's appropriate in this particular circumstance!

...I bought a Golf because it was ridiculously cheap and a stick (well, was ridiculously cheap BECAUSE it was a stick and no one wanted it). Not for any 'Oh it's a euro and awesomesauce and fast vroom vroom' or whatever else. Cause it's not. It's a base model. And I'm not right in buying it because ...
