Re: GTX 3090 gaming reviews are out. And they are underwhelming
I looked up 8K TVs at Best Buy and they range from $2,500 to $60,000. The size range was 55 to 98 inches. They probably need 16 to 24 Gigs of RAM on a video card for that resolution. I can't see people gaming on huge screens like that.

Linus gets to game on an RTX 3090 at 8K:
First in the world RTX 3090 8K gaming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDUnSsx62j8 It was nice of NVIDIA to let him play with a $30,000 eighty eight inch OLED 8K gaming display and an RTX 3090. He played Doom Eternal on Nightmare settings at 7680x4320. At that resolution you don't need anti aliasing...

Re: NVIDIA Announces GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090
You mean a 3070.
Key Keeper wrote:"out of stock" lol. The silver lining is with these coming out, the prices on the older cards will drop. Hell I'd be happy with a 2080TI

Re: NVIDIA Announces GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090
Techspot's review has the GTX 1080 in their charts, for those of you who are a glutton for punishment: https://www.techspot.com/review/2099-geforce-rtx-3080/ It's refreshing to see NVIDIA is back on track for the generational performance increase and value. While the tier 2 2080 matched the tier 1 1...

Re: NVIDIA Announces GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090
I suspect AMD's new card will have performance between the 3070 and 3080 and will be priced accordingly. I doubt their ray tracing performance will match NVIDIA's since it's their first kick at the can. I always buy whatever gives me the best bang for the buck performance wise. For some bizarre reas...

I grabbed it just now. I'll add it to my backlog since I don't even have Uplay installed.

CPU fan running full speed all the time
My wife's old Q6600 PC Blue screened and after that you could hear a fan running obnoxiously loud all the time. I popped the side off and you could hear it was the CPU fan. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the 4 pin fan cable but that made no difference. It's a small mid tower case with a snor...

Re: Steam Sale
Nascar Heat 4 is on sale until July 9 at 75% off for $7.49. FlyingPenguin and I are having fun playing it, since you have computer opponents now. About the only difference between it and Nascar Heat 5, is it's the 2019 season of drivers instead of 2020. I wouldn't bother with the Gold Edition unless...

Re: NVIDIA Marbles RTX
Same boat as you. Still on a GTX 1080, which does a good job in most gsmes, but with the ultra wide monitor it could use a bit more oomph. Didn't want to waste money on the rather disappointing 2080. The 2070 Super is probably the best bang for the buck in the higher-end segment. The 2080 is overpr...

Re: Gamers are ditching Radeon graphics cards over driver issues
Techspot did a followup on their Hardware Unboxed YouTube site: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptDRxBxwUfU Basically no reviewers ever had the black screen issue but most of the complaints from online users were resolved by the bug fix. Techspot shouldn't be using click bait titles then not even po...
