OK, first lets take a look at my Seagate Cheetah X15 ST318451LW on the same controller under W2K SP4 (32mb test): http://docsilly.dyndns.org:28080/pics/seagate.jpg Those numbers are comparable to the lowlevel results on Storagereviews test (28-42mb/s). Atto only tests the sustained transfer rate and...

I've been using Thunderbird for quite a while, it replaced my Outlook. Especially the builtin spamfilter works great, there's even a pre-trained filter file available for download if you don't feel like training it from scratch. The current version includes data of 25900 spam mails and 34400 normal ...

" That PC's also running slower than usual. The T1 line's an improvement for internet browsing but that's about it. The required programs used daily are running slower now." Can you use Task manager to see which process eats up a lot of CPU cycles other than your usual apps? That might all...

There is an extension, Sort Bookmarks 0.5.0.1 , at http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/mo ... =51&vid=54 but sadly not yet updated for 1.0 .... but they explain in the comments how to "hack" the installer so it'll install in 1.0PR. I haven't tried it yet.

The manual says: Supports 2 strips of 168-pin SDRAM unbeffured DIMM 2 x 168-pin DIMM banks support 8/16/32/64/128/256 MB unbuffered DIMM modules. So it seems to support a max of 512MB for SDRAM. My guess is that it supports only the older 256MB SDRAM sticks which use different memory chips (with les...

Just run the installer, it should upgrade with no probs from 0.9x. The only thing you'll have to upgrade after the 1.0PR installation are your extensions. update: well, I don't really remember if I uninstalled 0.9.3 or not, it's been a few days ... the mozilla forums suggest to uninstall 0.9.x prior...

The preview release is stable and fast and got some new features, it is considered to be the first fully functional and stable release (yeah, as if the last few were unstable ;) ).
I see nothing that speaks against using the 1.0PR ... afterall, the 0.9.3 that you're using is considered beta :D

You can't just slap on a PS/2 connector and think it'll work ... who knows what unknown protocol the old apple newton used but I'm sure it's not PS/2 ... your only luck would be a converter though I highly doubt there is one.

It could also be that the heads of the floppy drives are adjusted slightly differently, that means that one drive can only read floppies it formatted itself but not from other drives ... happens from time to time with those ancient technology floppydrives, I have one at home that has a mis-adjusted ...

I would just use one partition per HDD ... that'll give you 3 partitions, enough to divide stuff on the seperate partitions/HDDs.
