Well, can you format/fdisk the HDD ? If yes, try to do the same ASPI/config.sys/CDROM magic on the HDD, boot to the HDD's DOS prompt and start the OS installation from there ... the OS should be able to integrate the stuff during setup. Hmm, me likes Win2000 setup from a bootable CDROM, first thing ...

It depends on the included software (-> depends on the Scanner ;) ) ... my old UMAX Astra 600S had the VistaScan software and during setup you could select some sort of network client for scanning.

Sort of ... it should follow the binary code ... check your HDD's manual.

Here are the setting for my Cheetah:
ID - Jumper
0 - none
1 - 1
2 - 2
3 - 1,2
4 - 3
5 - 1,3
6 - 2,3
7 - 1,2,3
8 - 4
9 - 1,4
10- 2,4
11- 1,2,4
12- 3,4
13- 1,3,4
14- 2,3,4
15- 1,2,3,4

Does this compute for you ?

Flash handles up to 300.000 guaranteed writes .. BUT ... the writing starts to slow down slightly after 10.000 and significantly after 100.000 writes ... a card rated at 100.000 writes is a card where the 100.000th write isn't slower than 1.5 times the original write time. The card will continue wor...

Check your DEVICE MANAGER and the properties for COMPUTER ... when it still says ACPI etc then it's still ACPI enabled, you can change it via DRIVERS to STANDARD PC, reboot and it'll re-detect your hardware ... ALL devices have to work together to make ACPI work.

It really isn't bad, it's actually quite good, I've seen it last night and enjoyed it ... but I missed parts of the new Final Fantasy trailer, darn it, but what I've seen looked awesome.
