Thanks,

I installed both Open Office and the Viewer now,
Looks like they did send me a form with blanks.
Well, I don't sign anything with blanks so I think I'll skip the deal this time round.

I figure I'll get a board to put it in, if not I should be able to sell it later

my motherboard manual says not to use ddr 2 in it it takes ddr3 my guess is it might not work. Ya, I am so far out of the loop on things now I don't have a clue what works with what anymore. My board was built before DDR3 and is AM2+ but with new firmware it shows I should be able to run a 6core AM...

Well, much of that is fine and dandy. But I think if I do not view links and images I miss out on some stuff like free food coupons! I ate about $1,000 free food last year maybe signing up at many places like Captain D's e-club and Ryan's, Old country Buffet, Arby's, etc.. and most send images and l...

Thanks, downloading open office now, 45 minutes on my connection! I really wish businesses would stop updating to the newest junk because it's just new stuff. For a plain forms like this the old formats worked fine years ago and anyone could use them without problems! For a simple boilerplate contra...

OK, 16 gigs 4x4 DDR3 for $140, I could not resist. I may not be able to use them but gee I saved some bucks! PLEASE tell me they will work in my DDR2 board at DDR2 specs as backward compatible! If not, well, I'll get a $60 board later I guess. It looks like with firmware update I can go as far as 6c...

$500 Porche for a $20,000 Mustang, no trade!

I got a friend I trade cars with sometimes. Both of us kinda get them but then don't do much with them. So I got a $200 Mazda RX7, he wanted it and traded me 2 MGBs and a Spitfire for it, true they are in bad shape, but Mazda was not running either though rust free! I got a MR2 which he wanted, engi...

DDR3 pins and DDR2 pins?

I think I saw something that DDR3 was listed as 240pin ram and DDR2 is also 240Pin? Ok, if both are 240pin, dumb question probably, but are the sockets the same and is DDR3 backwards compatible with DDR2 boards? Would I just loose extra features of DDR3 or am I correct to think it's just not the sam...

Thanks! So if I update the Bios I can use AM3? I am totally lost on CPUs these days! I wondered about it, but the specs didn't list it. Probably because AM3 might not have been out when I bought the board or specs wrote. What is the difference in AM2 and AM3? I still need to stay close around the $1...

Yes I often have all the bandwith to myself at Wifi, not that busy around here. 75 Mbit/sec, how many K is that on download speeds. I forgot how to figure that. I think I am losing it at times. :E I know I used to get into the 180K download range at same places early last year. 60K and 80K now are t...

I been laid up a bit and not getting online, was just hurting too much for awhile to sit at a computer. Nothing serious just twists and pulled muscles but it kept me almost bed ridden for weeks. Well, the Libarary went nuts on speeds that day. It got to the point I was getting like 20k and less a ti...
