Seen some threads on flashing your video card, never thought bout it much. Wouldnt that be the same as overclocking it? I run my 6600gt at 600mhz core and 1.15ghz mem clock now so why the hell would I update my bios to an ultra and make it run slower( I know the ultra is faster cause the 256 mem). A...

Any one but me using an Asus A8N sli deluxe?? I hear so much about 3000+ winchesters overclocked to 2.6 stable and I have had little luck doing the same. I can achieve 2.6 but it aint very stable. Power supply Q
I purchased an asus a8n sli mobo and it has the 24 pin atx power plug. I am using the old atx with only 20 pins. Is it neccessary to use the 24? I dont seem to have any problems so far. Psu is an Aspire 500w with a 34amp rating on the 12+ side.

I have upgraded my bios and ended up with some new settings. Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, 3000+ 1.8g@2.1g. You can install scsi drives and sata drives in the same machine. The first thing that I thought about when I read your post was the bois.
