Subject Line

Post by Pugsley »

I figured something out. When replying to a post if you blank out the subject line then it does not appear in your post.

It seems by default it put the subject in there automatically. I don't know why you need a subject line when making a reply in a thread.

Here I deleted the words in the subject box and you can see there is no subject in my post. is there a way to make it blank by default?

Sometimes you get multiple topics in a thread. This just helps differentiate.

I did a little Googling and it looks like there's no way to eliminate subject lines in replies without breaking a lot of things. Seems to be baked into PHPBB.

It's like Slashdot, I hate how they force you to enter a subject when replying.
