i wish the would bring out and in reason on price - it sucks having all these old 45 and 33 s laying around here that the wife will not let me toss out - and we dont have a record player left ! also last time i went to get a dia needle for the one we had (like 20 plus years ago ) the cost was around $15-$20 back then . about what 1/4 what the unit cost new .

Wow. I have over 300 vinyl LP's from the 70's and 80's. The best part is this:

Scratches on the surface of the album, which can produce annoying popping sounds and skips in the music, are generally ignored.

We all complain about prices now, but think about how much a 3.0ghz processor would've cost a few (maybe more, too young to know) years ago

^^^^ Huh? Are you confusing this with a turntable that could "Find" a shiney spot between tracks?
That has nothing to do with turning a "wave" into music..
