Anyone else notice how Amazon is defaulting you to long shipping times?

Post by FlyingPenguin »

I've got Prime, but sometime in the last few weeks, Amazon is defaulting my shipping to my next Amazon day instead of Prime the next day or two.

I have to now make sure I manually select the Prime delivery option. Annoying.

I wondered why what I ordered yesterday wasn't going to arrive until next week when it was shipping from Amazon. Thanks for the heads up.

I've seen that but mine is not defaulting to it.

So I did some research and a lot of people on Reddit are bitching. Amazon will switch you to Amazon Day delivery as default if you ever select it. According to their FAQ if you select Prime Day shipping for the next order it will default to that BUT IT DOESN'T.

Lot's of people have called customer service with various levels of success. One thread here:

Okay, this is supposed to work according to another Reddit thread. Go here: https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=17928921011

Click on "Manage Your Amazon Day". Make sure "Make Amazon Day my preferred delivery option" (even if already unchecked), and click save.

I just did it and we'll see.

The 'manage your Amazon Day' trick I mentioned above did not work for me. All my orders are still defaulting to Amazon Day. Annoying.
