Gas prices
I gassed up the company van today @ $1.019 per gallon. Another station has gas at $0.969 a gallon. Prices are dropping !
Amazing what free market economics can do!
I just filled up for $1.09/gal.

The lowest around me has been 1.13 so far. Whats the reason for the drastic price drop? Not that I'm complaining or anything... but prices for the last TWO years have been in the $2/gal range... now all of a sudden it's back to levels of 3 or more years ago. So what happened to make prices jump around so much?
I wonder how the prices are in other parts of the world now?

Techincally, they increased production which drives prices down. Basically, oil was too expensive and people didn't want to buy as much, so they had to raise their outputs to get prices back down to where people will buy it.Originally posted by Busby
OPEC lowered the cost for a barrel of oil, which drives the price of gas down.
On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.
