Oh no, it's ALIVE!!!!

Post by ilike2bbarefoot »

Ahh....at last, the speed of a processor made since the revolution of the ATA interface. Yup, my new computer is finally up and running, albeit not finished yet. Boy, it feels so good to see the Windows 98 interface again (and I cannot believe I just said that!) and to be able to play AOE and UT again :D Anyway, here's how she be right now, more or less: :D

Athlon Slot-A 500
EPoX EP-7KXA+
256MB SDRAM (generic crap, I'm still hassling the guy to give me the Micron I paid for)
10GB WD AC310100 ATA33 (gonna end up with an ATA66 RAID array after I get back from the hospital)
Creative 2x DVD
Philips 2x2x6 CDRW
ATi AIW Pro 8MB AGP
Creative Dxr2
Vortex1 PCI
Promise FastTrak66
SMC EZ-Card10 ISA

Like I said, it ain't finished yet. Still gonna get a RAID array, PCI NIC, AMR Modem, that Micron RAM, and a SCSI controller. And then come the case mods and OC'ing :D But it's finally running!! No more 486!! :cool

Just got done watching RAW, and now I am thankful for two things: my All-In-Wonder card, which rocks big-time, and Stone Cold Steve Austin, who is finally the hero again after being the bad guy for so long.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
