Anyone think George Lucas could have come up with a better title for SW2?

"Attack of the Clones"? I was hoping for something better like, "The Clone Wars". Anyways, I know everyone hated Jar Jar, but I am one who just hated the kid. I am glad he is not in this movie. He was such a horrible actor. I think I'd rather see "The Princes Diaries" than watch Episode One again.

Yup the tittle sucks and "The Clone Wars" would be a better tittle IMO.Hopefully it will get changed like Revenge of the Jedi did.I am a huge fan of A New Hope,Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi but I lost alot of faith in Lucas after E1.

The attack of the clones? If that is the true title that will stick, the story better back it up VERY well. I loved the first three, but EP1 was kinda stupid. There are parts that I like and I take it for the story, but I haven't had the urge to watch it in a while. I like Jar-Jar more than that kid and his stupid lines. There are just a few subtle things that if George changed them, then it would be a great movie.

For instance. Why did they take Jar-Jar with them? Why didn't they just dump him saying they didn't need his help head off to the caste. To tatooine and when they came up with that plan, they could have re-introduced Jar-Jar. That would have connected the beginning with the end and would have been great. No more Jar-Jar stupid things while they were on tatooine and all that.

Second, the stupid lines anakin says just really takes away from it. there was some bad dialog mixed in with bad acting and it just ruined the movie, IMO. Like the pod racing scene. EXCELLENT effects. In fact, the entire movie has great effects (best I've seen to date) but that kid acted like he was riding a bike when he was supposed to be acting like has going 600mph on a freakin' ROCKET!

It's still "OK" but its no where near the EP4,5, and 6.

Look back at Ep 4,5,6 ... You will see that Luke had some bad acting himself.
Listen to Uncle Owen and Luke and their dorky conversations...

You must realize that we all watched 4,5,6 when we were young and that is the crowd the movie is directed towards. And so was Ep1....so look at the movie from a 12 year olds perspective.

I think EP1 was a great movie and fits the Star Wars story well.
(remember to watch it with a yound innocent 12 year old attitude)

as for the name "Attack of the Clones".....well IMHO it sux.

Oh well....It will be great to watch the clone wars start, this is where we get the StormTroopers

I definitly realize that and I also realize that is why I like the originals so much. I grew up with them and fell in love with 'em. The acting had nothin' to do with it at that time. But now that I'm a little older, yes, I have lost that "child" in me so Jar-Jar doesn't appear so attractive. I bet if I were this age when Return of the Jedi came out, I would hate the ewoks

I just wish I was that 12 year old kid again. Sadly I'm not, so I think the boys acting sucks

while my 6 year old sister loves it (the movie anyway) Eitherway, I wouldn't say the movie was a flop or was bad, it was just "OK" but it'll never touch the originals in my mind.

The first 3 I did like and still do although star wars is a bit boring now but at least not as stupid or annoying as the last one. I still enjoy the ewoks, r2d2 and c3po and still find yoda as much annoying as jar jar. All the other characters I can think of in the first 3 I did like and still do, except for yoda and that real annoying voice of his. Frankly I can't thing of a single character I liked in Phantom Messup. And I saw it with 2 kids who found it as much annoying I did.

Other kids in the theatre we saying things like, "what the hell was that" after the movie.

This last one didn't have near the heart of either of the first 3. But I know not all feel that way. Maybe the next one will be better. I don't have any confidence in it though.

Hmm...I'm coming at this from the perspective of someone who's read most all of the SW novels. I agree entirely that "Attack of the Clones" is an entirely ridiculous title. It reminds me of those silly old Killer B movies. But if Lucas is able to pull off a good screenplay of the traditional SW lore, then E2 will be a freaking awesome movie. But if he cheeses it up too much...man, it would be one of the biggest letdown movies of recent history
