Do you beleive this the Taleban wants Jesse Jackson to go to Afganastan to try to make a deal for the captured aid workers there. Please Jesse Jackson does not represent the U.S. so they are trying to make deals with whoever they can to make the U.S. look bad. The way I see it he should go so we can get all our enemies in one place.

ANYONE going over there right now in an official capacity would only be undermining the US position, so I hope he stays away.

On the otherhand, I think we should send Rev. Al Sharpton (preferably wrapped in a gasoline soaked Afgan flag). I have a certain amount of respect for Jesse Jackson. Sharpton is a publicity hounding ASS.

They both are. What politcal clout does Jesse Jackson have ? none !! Nothing more than a trumpet player who toots his own horn. This is nothing more than a setup to make himself look good. I guarantee you te taleban did not contact him, but he contacted them.

I heard on the news today that it was Jesse Jackson who volunteered to go there to talk(his own brainfart), not that he was invited there by anyone.
If that's true, hopefully our government will put a stop to that non-sense as the guy has no business doing our bidding with those "individuals" (note: didn't say "people").

The last I heard on this topic today, he's now saying that he's decided not go. Hmmmm, it wouldn't be that he was told to "shut the F*** up!!!" would it?

Later on the news I saw 'The Pres' saying once again "no nogotiating, they heard what I said the first time" so obviously JJ isn't even being thought of here as being all to real. The guy's just in it to get himself known as "the Man" (right!)

Did you see JJ on Saturday night live?

It looked like a pretty good description of what happened.

JJ said he was chilling, he got a phone call, he picked it up and someone hung up on him so he did a *69'ned and it was the taliban who was calling.

So JJ says what and the taliban is like "you called us" and JJ is like, no "you called me first" so then they got it all figured out etc. etc. etc.
