Any 35mm camera people know a good place for used parts?
Although I do have a decent digital camera, my old Nikon Fe2 35mm which was a good camera in its day (mid-80s) had its light meter die years ago. It's too costly to have repaired (est $240) considering its age and that I now very rarely use 35mm anymore. I would still like to replace the body though as I have a decent lens for it (35-200mm), etc and hate to just give it up completely if I could get a replacement body for it reasonably but those selling on Ebay are going for more than I'm willing to spend (over $200 used).

Evil, here's a link, lots of choices in Cameras, Film, and General Equipt. to check out. Most of those guys sell used stuff.

EvilHorace, this may not help much at all, but, you never know. Here, in the Philadelphia area, there are (or, perhaps, were) two huge camera repair places -- and, I do mean huge as in really high volume and the absolute best prices.
Just about any shop (and ALL the chains) to which you brought your camera for repair within a 100 mile radius would just mark up your charge and send it to them. I went to one directly for after I lent my Canon AE-1 to a woman back in the day and she dropped it off a (slow moving) motorcycle, LOL!
It was called Comet Camera, located in Philly on something like N. 7th St. or 6th St., north of Vine, which would be about 500 - 700 North. You could definitely find it through the internet yellow pages. These guys were busy, busy, and definitely not customer interface all stars, but they would in all likliehood have a used body around of your model to sell cheap.
I KNOW this is a somewhat lame lead, man, but, wtf, if you're stymied and still motivated, it might be worth looking into.

The Sanskrit word for "war" means "desire for more cows."
They're still around Perknose; 12th and Walnut. Not far from where my wife works. EH, LMK if you want me to give them a call --they're only about 20min from me.
EDIT: Looks like they are on the web. Here's a link for an online estimate: http://www.cometcamera.com/formmail.htm
