I got bit last night just before I left work. Damn! Screwed me up for a whole day. Could be cause I got bit on the side of my neck. I was all itchy and my lymph nodes on my neck swelled up. Not a fun experience. I went to the hospital, just to be on the safe side, since I started getting asthma. Now for my point/rant.... the doctor at hospital, what a jerk! Looked at me for two seconds, didn't listen to me (I know I got bit) and wrote me a perscrition (sp) for and antibiotic in case the lump on the side of my neck was an ingrown hair! Sheesh.. I took two benadryl and slept. Now my head is just sore but all the swelling is gone.

sucks! i hate spiders!

All that and I bet you STILL can't climb the walls eh?

god spiders scare the sh!t outta me... they're so scary

*shakes head* women are such babies around spiders... How can someone be affraid of something with 8 legs and teh average size is that of a quarter...lol Spider meet shoe, shoe meet spider... SPLAT! My girlfriend is terrified of them... I see one and smack it with my hand... realy pisses her off when i wipe it on her lol

well ya if my bf did that i would be pissed too... more likely grossed out tho... BLAH!!!

i like to torch spiders

Nothing to laugh about around here. Spiders are pretty serious around here in Central Florida. We have several poisonous varieties and while they're not too likely to kill you, they can if the poison is close to your heart or brain and it's left untreated.

I just had a friend who got bit and her left leg swelled up to immense proportions and then her left side went numb as it worked it's way out of the leg. They had to rush her to the hospital.

We also have small scorpions around here which are also moderately dangerous.

You have to take care when picking up something like a rock or a piece of wood that's been sitting on the ground a while - not smart to work on the garden without gloves around here.

I hate spiders. *shudder*

My wife usually kills them for me. We live in an area surrounded by a few acres of woods. There are some big nasty spiders that come in during the Spring and Fall. Ugh, I hate those things. The look like wolf spiders, but only their legs are hairy. Their backs are shiny black.

We also see the occasional snake slithering about (outside, of course). Snakes don't really botehr me, but spiders do.

I have arachnophobia in a big way, so yeah, spiders scare the hell outta me as well. But the best spider killing story I ever heard was from my grandparents. Seems that my uncle is scared of them too and when he was a kid he was washing the outsides of the windows for my gram. Well he comes to one that has this huge friggin hairy one on it. But instead of using a broom to sweep it down (due to visions of it falling down the broom and onto his arm) he runs back in the house and grabs, are you ready......
































A PELLET GUN!!!

My gram hears this immense *SMACK* next to the window she is near and goes to see what the hell is going on. There she sees my uncle pointing a friggin gun at the window and taking potshots at this damn spider. Pissed her right off. Before she could get to him, he takes two more shots and nails the bugger on the third one, splats it all over the damn window, and THEN refuses to wash it because he didn't want spider guts in the water he was using. :laugh

Spiders don't freak me out much, what does is earwigs! Ech! Something about them is just creepy and wrong. And yes I PO'ed.... no spidey senses!

I HATE spiders. God they freak me out. They're creepy as hell. I hate the long ones with the long skinny legs that s-l-o-w-l-y crawl along the walls and drop down in front of you when you're taking a shower.

*shudders*
