<i>There was no police shooting, no reverends shouting for justice this time — just 300 black people blocking Vine Street on Monday night, pelting cars with rocks, bottles and eggs and yelling “get whitey.”
Some cities would call that a riot. Cincinnati didn't even call it a “disturbance.” The headline over a 3-inch story in the Enquirer the next day said, “Fight draws crowd; police close street.”
Witnesses and police reports showed something worse: frightening attacks on cars driven by white people, while cars driven by blacks were waved through.
Police said it started when two girls, ages 14 and 17, started throwing punches in the street. As cops arrested the girls, the 14-year-old struggled and spit in the face of one officer. The 17-year-old's brother, 12, jumped on a cop — and it took two more to restrain him.
The crowd swelled to 300, and 20 to 50 people began throwing things. The cops backed off to regroup.
Police logs show several calls from trapped motorists.
“Group of male black suspects threw rocks, eggs at his car; yelled things about his being white,” says one dispatcher's report.
“They were running up and throwing things at the windows of cars and yelling, "Get whitey,'” said a woman who did not want to be named because she lives nearby and fears reprisals.
University of Cincinnati student Steve Wahoff was caught in the middle of it. “I was giving a buddy a ride downtown. Vine is the quickest route. I knew it was sort of dangerous. But it was still light out, so I thought there would be no problem,” he said. “I saw this large crowd in the street and thought, "I'd better get out of here.' And right then, this huge rock hit the windshield.”
As he hit the gas and fled, he noticed that black motorists were not bothered at all, and one tried to block his escape. Damage estimates for his car were $800, not including a windshield replacement, he said. “That's the last time I go down Vine Street.'

i don't care what color a group of people are, green, orange, purple, yellow, black, or polka dot... if they are threatening me and trying to block my path while I AM in a car and they are ON FOOT. hmmm...who has the advantage. if it was truly a threatening situation i would not be calling on my cell for help...and would not feel remorse for stepping on the gas and "exiting" the area quickly...regarless of what was in front of the car. grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
the sad thing is if one of the trapped motorists was being threatened for their life and DID run over one of those animals...then THEY would be the bad guy, not the animals outside for going too far.

Weird thing is, when there's a cop shooting in WA, the news organizations make sure to point out if the victim was a minority or not. For example, some chick with a bunch of pot in her truck last year decided to shoot it out with cops on a routine pull-over. The news reported that they didn't know if racial discrimination was a factor, since they didn't know what race she was at the time of the first report.
And I thought, "who the hell cares? Fire a weapon at a cop...die. It's that simple."
It turned out she was white. But the news dudes kept pointing out the race factor for the next few days after her death anyway, making sure we all knew she was white. Haven't heard much about it since then. But I kept thinking, "what does her skin color have to do with anything?"
But our society now believes escaped convicts can run over cops, and if they get shot during this episode, it must be white-cop murder. And the mother of said convict, who aided and abetted this known felon, does not get arrested and jailed for harboring a fugitive...all for the city to keep the peace with the black community.
If a cop has a Glock in his face, facing it point-blank by a man who once emptied an entire clip at a different cop and did jail time for it, and who also once shot a co-worker in the shoulder after losing a bet and did prison time for it, the black community shuts down I-5 in a protest march...cuz it has to be a white-cop murder of a black man....LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG before any testimony or evidence (much less a trial) is heard.
Here in the NW, blacks have outspokenly and repeatedly said that there is some sort of agenda for white cops to kill black people. And nobody can dispute my statement, it's in print in the newspapers, it's on TV, etc, almost every day. Funny thing is, most of these dead people have EXTREMELY violent histories. Tarantino-type histories. People who shoot people. People who rape, pillage and plunder. But they suddenly become victims if a white cop shoots them while they're in the middle of committing a crime.
"Reverse racism" was something bantered about several years ago. It's a phrase mainly associated with laws passed a couple of decades ago that prevented the "best candidate" from getting a job or position because of his/her skin color, or an exceptional person denied government benefits or college grants/loans...the job/benefits/loan for this particular instance had to go to a minority, regardless of that person's competence or capabilities. No, "reverse racism" is something WE created during the battle to end prejudice and discrimination. Some might call it poetic justice.

Wa St. is terrible i'm in central Wa far away from the Seattle nightmare over here its the hispanics. You watch the news and hear about this one killing that one and raping this one. But the cops do anything to them and their gettin' picked on. They look at whites like we're the devil. Try to befriend them and your up to something. bump into them on the store on accident adn your a racist son of a bitch... I'm to the point anymore i don't give a shit. I'm sick of all the bullshit. I try and give everyone the benefit of the doubt and judge by their actions. Sometimes we all have a bad day so that can make another percerive we are either a jerk or racist.
But when you see obvious things over and over, it gets harder and harder to take. When I lived in Vegas I was good friends with a Canadian. He said when he lived in Canada they never understood the problems many whites seem to have with blacks and really thought most were indeed racist. But then after seeing things here for himself he became convinced many blacks do have a chip on their shoulder and many do act indifferent towards whites. And along with seeing how many use the "it's because I'm black" excuse to get their way.
Right now they do have more rights than we do. Look at what happens in Cincy. If it were reversed then holy hell would break loose all because of "those racist whiteys". But here blacks attack whites and it is instead surpressed. Why? Because Cincy has been under heat from the blacks for their so-called "unfair" treatment of blacks so they surpress it to try and not stir things up? :;
As others mentioned why is only color looked at and not the persons background and why the police felt the need to shoot or arrest a black person in the first place. Why is that always ignored? They make it sound like they are only being shot or arrested and singled out just because they are black.
Then I see some whites trying to be politically correct and basically selling out their own race saying how some whites are and how blacks are unfairly treated. They post thoughts that they think they should post and what they think they should convey to others, but avoid their true thoughts. To a degree I can understand that. But it's reaching the point where we (whites) are being dominated and our rights taken away and here we have some scared to post the facts all for the sake of being politically correct. Or being called a racist.
But then again, it's worse in some areas and in some areas this black/white thing isn't so bad so that will effect ones thinking when they do not experience what many of us do. Obviously it is real bad in Cincy though. Many like some are in Cincy use being "black" as a way to get their way. Its an excuse that if you are white, you cannot argue. If we do? We are called a racist so many cave in.

Pred, that's another story. I have nothing at all against hispanics but I am pretty damn sick of going to the bank teller and I first have to select which language, either spanish or english. Then you call a business you also have to select which language. Now many jobs are requiring you speak spanish to get the job. Or I go to a store and no one speaks english. WTF!!! We are in America, you come here then learn the fvcking language!!
