Don't get me wrong - the speakers are fine - but the cheap tacking on of the "Star Wars" license is just silly...
What is the price of a normal pair of Klips 2.1 cost? It's less than what this set is, save for the name "Star Wars" on it...
I'd love to smack Lucas in the head right now...

Kind of reminds me of all of those "limited edition" mass-produced baseballs with Babe Ruth's signature reproduced onto them. Yay, a Babe Ruth baseball. Just like the ones everyone else has.
This is really stupid. Might as well put a decal on a Pinto and sell it as a limited-edition Star Wars Pinto for $10000. Same concept

I would be curious to see how much actual say he has over these types of things. Anyway, I believe these were introduced in the first place to show off to the star wars croud at the Star Wars convention here in Indianapolis during the beginning of May (3rd to 5th). Klipsch being based in Indy as well, had all their loud-speakers there for demos and for presentations and all.
Is it retarted? Of course. You can pay $179 for the regular 2.1 (which even that is over-priced) or $250 for the ones in a different color. Is the new paint scheme worth $80 to you? I doubt it is to anybody. But the entire idea behind it is to have something "different." Heck, I bought a limited edition star wars watch (10,000 made) for $85 when it first came out and you can buy them on ebay for about $40 if not less. I still like it though because it's somewhat unique.
Whatever makes ya happy, I suppose.

I don't think they are worth *that* much extra money, but the color scheme does look VERY good, imo.

This one ranks pretty high on the lame list too...
