EarthStink DSL *Rant*

They must have got tired of me calling them. tonight (12/13/02) I was informed by EarthStink that the Telephone Company C.O. (Central Office) is no longer accepting Earthlink DSL connections. To top it off, they are charging me a $149 cancellation fee for a frigging service that they can't provide.
Now I'll have to find a way to fight them for screwing me. On a good note, ATT cable internet became available today, too bad It'll take until Jan. 3rd to get it setup.

NO BODY! is stuck with AOhell .... if you can get interente through aohell you can get internet from a local isp. lol
nascar that sucks man. i had earthlink a while back and the service was awesome .. that was when i lived in IL. but from what i hear the service differs in area to area. some places it rocks and some places it totally sucks. .. earthlink had me all hooked up within 2weeks of ordering my dsl in IL. but since i moved back to pa i got local cable modem with 1500down/512up buisness account

I dont have a charge card. I have a checking account, but barely any money in there. Work is slow
If I DID have the money, then I would sign up for ATT cable.
I am making that promise, as soon as I can afford the monthly bills (i know 45-50 sounds like a good price for the speed, but it isnt really a need now, car and phone and insurance come first) i WILL get it

I just got off of aol. I signed up for one of those 3 year/$400 rebates. Miserable. So glad to be independent of aol, and on cable.

So wait.... earthlink is charging you $149 because the phone company cant get you connected? And this is a cancellation fee? Are you cancelling the service? If not, then tell earthlink to stick their fee up their ass!!!! Call the credit card company right away, and tell them the story. No way in hell should you pay earthlink anything. Tell them to get the money from the phone company!!! They are the ones cancelling your service!!!
