Hope this hasn't been done yet/recently..

I prefer Dark Thorne Cider.. But since I can't find it, I settle for good ole Budweiser..

You Guys/Gals?

Life is too short to drink Bud...or dance with fat chicks. And somehow, too much Bud usually leads to dancing with fat chicks...

Mac and Jack's African Amber
Redhook ESB or IPA
Alaskan Amber

Drink something better than Bud and you'll meet chicks that aren't fat... :D

I'm a beer conosseiur (sp?). I like unusual beers. Prefer lagers. Can't stand most watered down American beers (with the exception of Rolling Rock which I've always had a taste for).

When I want to drink cheap, Dundees Honey Brown is good.

All the Samuel Adams beers are good.

Fosters, Bass Ale, Harps

Guiness when I'm in the mood for stout.

When I want to spend some money on a REALLY fine beer (beer that nearly gives you an orgasm when you drink it) it's a choice between

La Fin Du Monde (9% alchohol)
http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/index/date/all/monde/

Samichlause (14% alchohol)
http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/index/date/all/samich/

These two aren't cheap. I generally buy a case at a considerable discount and then milk it for a year. Everyone who loves beer needs to try a La Fin Du Monde at LEAST once.

Actually ANY of Unibroue's beers are a special treat, and not all of them are as expensive. They also have some manificent artwork on the labels.

Some of the Belgian beers are also very good. Been experimenting with them lately.

actually root beer isnt root beer anymore
back in the west root beer was made with teh sasaphras root
which was found in the 50's to contain a cancer causing poison
thus sasparella (its true name) was illegalized
so all of the root beer ever sold today is all 100 percent artificial
and from what im told by old times doesnt truly taste the same

omg i just went into nerd mode
GOD HELP ME!

Some of my favorites are:
Sam Adams Lager, Ale and Double Bock
Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout
Pete's Wicked Ale
Guiness Extra Stout
Bass Pale Ale (Use this and the one above for a "Black and Tan")
And if I'm caught out at one the local restaurants and they don't one of my preferred brews I can always make due with a Shiner Bock. ;)

A good reference for beers is from Michael Jackson The Beer Hunter. No, not Wacko Jacko! :foo

old milwakee :p

lol, i remember the first beer i had was that crap^^

i dispise it.
and I think its funny.....my parents dont drink regularly. only on the holidays and then its usually rum and coke mixes adn the like. So i think to discourage me from drinking, they always keep the fridge packed with old milwakee that was bought in 1994. I dont touch that shit anymore.

So to name my brew.........i like coronas (with a lime is a plus), bud light (only in bottle form), and those party fu-fu drinks like Mikes hard lemonaide/icetea/cranberry, bacardi silver (which tastes like everlasting gobstoppers) and the other ones you wouldnt want to be caught drinking at the bar.

But then I am always in the mood for Absolut Vodka, citron. 3vodka is good too and its made right here in chicago
