damn......

i got a call from a really good friend of mine the other day...

she said she was shipping out, but didnt know where to. She is in the army.
I got an mailing adress I guess you could call it. Didnt look like a normal shipping addy, but I guess it is different for the military.

I am just worried about her. dont want nothing to happen to her :(

the thing that has baffeled me for years about carriers is they launch the jets straight off the front and make then land at that goofy angle to the movement of the ship. why not launch them form there and land them in a straight line?

I know so they can launch and land them at the same time. but still.

Actually aircraft on carriers land in a straight line (the full length of the deck) this is to give the pilot a max power run if they miss the wire and have to go around.

There are catapults on BOTH the long straight section AND the angled section.

Godspeed and Thank You to all in our military services! Your service is so appreciated by so many.

Here's the USS Nimitz which just left out of San Diego, CA. These are archives pics from the Navy.

Video...

Post by eGoCeNTRoNiX »

I've got a video from the jet of some bombings that my bro sent me (he's in the army) that hasn't been seen by too many people. You get to watch them bombing an al-quade or iraqi (not sure which one) facility and you get to see the people running from the bombs. I don't have the webspace to post it, about 6-7mb.. But if someone wants to host it I'll see what I can do about getting it to you.. eGo

btw, I am referring the "rawhide" roundup to Iraqi and terrorists, not our military.

Video taken with a thermal camera.. You can see the outlines of the buildings and stuff, but the people show up as white because they're hot.. heh.. I'm gonna email it to blade, so if anyone else wants it, I'll just add you to the email. I don't know if Blade had planned to post it or not.. If you want it, LMK eGo
