I joined PCA running a Comcrap Prestomatic @ 666mhz w/128MB PC100 and a TNT2 32MB Video Card and a 15GB HD with a 40X CD-Rom and a 4x4x12 CD-RW on Dial-Up and a 15" Monitor........

Now, I've got :

AMD XP2500+ @ 2.3 Ghz
512MB PC3200 Corsair XMS Platinum (I'd like to get a 2nd stick for Dual Channel)
Radeon 9800 Pro (Though this will be moved over to my gaming rig soon same specs)
120GB 8MB 7200RPM Maxtor
8x4x40 Plextor DVD+/- R/RW
22" Monitor..

So I'd say that's one hell of a change.. :) Not to mention I have two of the above basically.. Only difference is the monitor and the HDs.

I also have my Dually..

Ahhhh :) Those days of the immortal 300a.

I 'believe' my first system when at agn was a 486/66, 4mb ram, 1mb video card. Upgraded later to a 133 (with an overdrive chip) and 16 megs of ram. Even played quake on it. It was a slide show, but I still played it. :d Those ambient sounds had me hooked.

Briefly had a p120.

Once prices went down I upgraded to a p200mmx 32mb ram. First system I built. Tried a crappy ati 2mb 3d card, but sent it back because it did nothing to help. Later got a voodoorush 6mb video card. Hey, it had Turok free with it (anyone have that game?) . Now I wuz cooking. Turok was fun, but most importantly, I could play GL Quake! :w ow

Then Unreal came out. :( My sytem would barely play it at 512x384, with most things turned off. But, got a voodoo 2 12mb along with riva 128 2d card. It said 3d too, but... Anyway, I could play Unreal at 800x600, most of the time with no chop.

But then it happened. A gift from the Gawds it was! The 300a :bow

Here were most of us running the 300a at 450 and above while the fastest chip Intel had out was the p400. :d

From the voodoo 2 I went to the Voodoo 3 16mb. Never did the SLI thing. Then from the 300a to the 366@550, the 600@800, etc..

Now I've got a xp2500+@3200 (2.2ghz), 1gb ddr 3200, 5600 128mb. And Doom 3 still chokes at times. Gahhh It really heats my system up.

when i first hit AGN it was a k6-2 350 @ 400 , then 366/550, then 600/800 then 800/1000 then the whole AMD thing - had one of the first 1 ghz durons (remember messing with those bridges with the goo ?) then a bunch of amds at various overclocks then a p4 1.4 /2.4

now the main rig is an xp mobile @2.2 and p4 2.8 - other amd and intel rigs scattered around that the rest of the family has inherited or which were sold

hardly anything is really oc'd any more because i became allergic to the cmos jumper and the sound of 999 fans :)

I joined with a 486 system. Then went with k6-2 350 then up to a 300a and a bunch between. Now I have a xp2100. I cant decide now whether to get a faster processor or a bigger hard drive. 120 gig isn't enough these days.

When I joined I was running a PII 400 with 128 megs of ram and a Diamond Stealth video card with 32 megs on board. My video card now has twice as much ram as my system did back then.

I started out with a P233 , 32MB ram , and upgraded to the 4.3 gig hard drive and the 4MB video card ;)

First major upgrade was the cel 300 @ 450 on a BH6 , added a Banshee vid card and I was on the cutting edge :D

I sometimes wish I didn't either or at least not remember as much as I do.

I had a P100 with 16MB of RAM and a 1.6GB hard drive with a whole megabyte of onboard video power when I found my way over to AGN.

Since then I've had a P133,P166, (2)233MMX(Intel and AMD), 300A @450, 400A, 450 K6-2, 533@800, 566@850, 750 TBird, 1.1 Duron, 1.4 TBird, XP 1600+, 1800+, 1900+, 2.0GB Celery, 2.4B P4, (2)XP 2000+, 3.2 P4 and my current main system now with a 2500+ Barton.

The memory was recently 1GB of PC2700 but now I have 512MB of PC3200 Dual channel. The current video card is a 128MB Radeon 9600 Pro and there is no way in hell that I would even want to try and remember all the video cards that have passed through this house. I know I probably missed a few of the CPU's but I couldn't even get close trying to recall all the video cards I've had over the years. :p
