count me in, 6 years ago I would have never dreamed i would ever have to take medication. 3rd class petty officer with a nice military career ahead of me- then the complications started-Lung disease- surgerys- Muscle and nerve problems due to surgical proceedures- shit I moved 3200 miles to this Hell hole just to be treated (No offense to NJ Natives, but this place sucks;P )
I live threw a ton of pain- but dont take pain killers because I grew tired of being loaded up on 12 scripts at once (fuking stupid doctors)

Anyways I Digress, I take muscle relaxers at night before I goto sleep, otherwise I couldnt function during the day at all. Living at a certain level of pain has become a norm for myself, but dont be fooled there are several like myself.. sad thing is the number of over medicated

Yeah, I agree with you on the overmedication issue. My mother is currently going through some medical problems herself, and the doctor's only remedy is to prescribe more and more medication. Lately she is house-bound, and cannot go out in the sunlight due the the medication she is taking. This stuff is supposed to be helping people, to enable them to live their lives, not taking away from it.

Upon talking to a friend whose wife is a naturalist, he says that the medical industry has become a giant force feeding drug giving machine. They don't treat what's wrong with you anymore, they simply treat the symptoms to what is ailing you. It helps them ensure that they have a steady supply of customers.
