Scott Douglas Martin, Contractor, son of resident
Wednesday, February 16, 2005

Scott Douglas Martin, formerly of Andover, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, in Kentucky. He was 45.

Born in North Reading, Mr. Martin was the son of Elizabeth Larrabee of Newton and David Martin of Middletown, R.I. He graduated from Medfield High School in 1977 and continued his education in advanced computer programming. Mr. Martin was the owner of Creative Carpentry, a contracting business in the Merrimack area.

He was a devoted father, avid cook, gardener and computer guru.

He leaves his children, Douglas and Lauren, formerly of Andover; his parents; his sisters, Nancy J. Martin of Gilroy, Calif., and Michele J. Martin of Newton; his brother, Bradford W. Martin and his wife, Kerry Ann, of Salem; and his nephews, Alexander, Samuel and Calvin.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Chapel of Newton Cemetery.

Burial was at Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

From another forum post:
He had two working accidents that shattered his shoulder and made his back worse and no money, sleeping under the bridge as he said... with the last gal running off with all his possessions ...

He was among the very best.

He goes back from the old AGN days. He had his ups and downs and more than his share of rough times. We'll sure miss you Scott. :(

Here's too you :chug May you R.I.P.

Wow! I'm in shock. I haven't seen him on the forums for a while, as the last time I remember him was on the old AGN board, and at Anand's. RIP
