http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/americas/ ... index.htmlMeanwhile, a passenger has filed a class-action lawsuit against Air France, Toronto airport authorities and a Canadian private air navigation service, accusing them of negligence, the Toronto Star reported.
The suit, filed Friday, asks for $62 million. An Air France spokesman declined comment on the lawsuit.
$62 million FOR WHAT? You're alive, not critically injured and you should feel elated you came through this in one piece. You certainly deserve SOME recompense for lost luggage, medical injuries, a refund of you F'ing ticket and maybe some money for whatever mental trauma (real or imagined) the accident caused you.
I could MAYBE understand $62 million if you were the survivor of someone who died in the crash, but what does this a-hole think happened to him that's worth that kind of money (not to mention his f'ing lawyer is going to get half of it).
The airline's insurance company will probably offer everyone some kind of "sign the paper that says you won't sue us and here's a check" deal. Why do people have to see every damn accident as an oppurtunity to become a millionaire?
