No NO NO.. you can own an ipod.. and own cd's.. but you have to buy the music you already own again.. so you can listen to it on that Ipod thing you paid so much for and thought that you could put the music from your cd's on but.. now can't because the RIAA is a bunch of retards....

Hope that clears it up..

Ohh and now if I have to buy this music.. again... I am going to have to do it from a compatable source.. hmm Itunes??? and.. I bet.. if you look hard enough.. Itunes gives the RIAA a nice kickback..

I think I will continue to rip CD's and use the other music I have for my Ipod.. FSCK THE RIAA!

it would be sweet to do an audit of all RIAA corporate computers and check them for mp3's, etc. i guarantee (like any other company) there are lots of employees there ripping away with iTunes, etc. rub that in their noses. :)

iTunes just wants people to pay $1 per tune (OUCH!!!!!!)

I've heard that some like that just so that they can see the tunes "album cover" on their iPod with each tune BUT personally, I could care less what it looks like.

Haha - these guys are going down and losing money. They have not taken their heads out of their asses to discover they are in the 21st century, and adapted to new technology.

These guys have got to be the greediest bunch of SOB's I've ever seen.

You can't trust the RIAA, but they've updated their website to include this gem: What is your stand on MP3?

..so they are prob.laying the ground work to include some kind of digital copy right chip in the next gen ipods so ya can't rip your cd's on em. They'll threaten apple with litigation if they don't comply.

and then guess what... people will either stop using ipods all together and both the RIAA and Apple will loose money and then company X will get popular.

Let us not forget that not only do we have to pay for the music a second time, but that second purchase sounds like crap on the stock earphones you get with your iPOD, and sounds like total sh!t if played back on a set of Shure E3C buds.

They keep trying to stuff that genie back into the bottle...when will they realize they have the wrong bottle, and they can't find the genie?
