Man, these gas prices are killing me. Locally, Monroe, La., gas is $2.73 at WalMart, higher at others. We need a break. Rumor is it will be $3 gal by the end of the month.
My truck gets 10 mpg
How's gas prices in your area?

Here in Southern California, I'm paying $2.83 for regular. I also have a truck that gets only 16 mpg.
I know my truck use to get better mileage than 16. It used to be 18-20. I think the oil companies are altering the mix which makes you use more gas, but pollute less?

I forgot to add that I carpool with one other person, so I'm actually spending less than $1.50 for gas to go to work. Trying to add one more person, so it drops to $1 to go to work.

I bought a new 3/4 ton 4x4 last July. I have to have a pretty big truck since I pull a big horse trailer. Us rednecks do those kinda things

2.79 for regular here in Chi-town suburbs, city went over 3$/gl a week ago... 16 mpg/city in my old clunker 735iL with 257000 miles on the clock

Funny, I looked at EPA ratings for it when it was new, still 16/mpg. BMW doesn't make the cars the way it used to anymore...

$2.83 a gal in central Florida for regular and I drive a car with a high compression engine that requires Premium
I swear they're getting us used to the idea of $3 a gallon and once it goes over it'll probably never go down again.

it will only get worse until hybrids are the norm or some other alternative fuel source. when gas hits $6-8/gallon and people are being shot over tanks of it...just wait!
