Hunting

Post by RubberDuckie »

This weekend was opening weekend for Archery for whitetail deer here in Texas. I went and did not get my deer yet (saw several in the field but not close enough for bows).

However I did get a monster pig with the bow. 350 lbs.

Where abouts did you land that? My brother in law has some good size hogs on his place near Gatesville ("King" is the name of the town though, too small to be known). Nice kill for sure.

That's funny, out here, you never even see hogs. Not a person I know has mentioned hunting a hog. Though, I think I'd rather.

I hear that the eye balls & ears (once you get the wax out) are actually pretty good. Though, I think I'll leave that to those who care.

Hmm, eating the eyes just sounds freaky. With all that meat on that thing why would anyone want to eat the feet/ears/eyes/and god forbid the jewels.

Prior to the bow shot.
BTW: He was too big to eat. Once these wild pigs are this big and old they are no good for consumption.
