About 16 years ago, I was at my grandmother's fixing to have breakfast and she was getting bread out for our egg sandwiches and she freaked out.. She found parts of a dead mouse baked into the loaf of wonder bread ;\

Well, you wouldn't have to add any meat to make your sandwich.

I don't get it, was the mouse not cooked enough? I consider it a bonus. However, I'm a big fan of Andrew Zimmerman too.

It looks like the bread was put on top of the dead mouse, not "baked in". Probably a set-up.

He looks baked into in. I think it's real. They said the tins were greased and left out for the night so I guess he climbed in and died during the night and the dough was poured in over him in the morning. I THINK they sell the loafs in the same tins they're baked in so the only chance to catch it is before the dough is poured in. If tins are left out overnight, anything could climb in (roaches, etc).

Happens more often than you would like to know. In a modern automated plant it's all happening too quick for anyone to see anything.
