Is PCA dying a slow death?

Post by Executioner »

Seems like the last 2 or 3 weeks, the thread count is dwindling rapidly. Don't see a lot of the regulars like dadx2mj. Where has everyone gone? I would venture to say we probably have only a dozen daily members that visit, and only half of those post a thread.

It's summertime. People are outside more and are spending less time at their computers.

yes, but that hobby is even more expensive than computers.

The price per pound for two legged deer is outrageous. You can eat prime rib cheaper. But then again, I realize prime rib does not satisfy the appetite like two legged deer. :w ow

well, we when pretty much locked her down to new members, this was forseeable. Plus a lot of people are using facebook and so on. I try and keep up here, but when just a couple of regulars disappear, you really notice.

I have a facebook and twitter account just so no one can use my name. The only thing I have on those accounts is a post saying that they're a waste of my time and if you want to contact me, use the contact form on my website.

I've been wondering the same. Of course, it hasn't been a very high usage forum for the last number of years. On the same note though, it does seem that Anand & HardOCP are even slowing a bit (Anand in particular). I believe as stated above that Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc. have started filling in some peoples desire to outlet. I'm not that kind of person. Also, I have to admit, news seems slow to me in general. I try looking for stuff on occasion & am disappointed at what I come up with lately.

I think it's just a matter of time and the plug gets pulled here.

And it's only a matter of time before they pull the plug on me, but it doesn't mean that I won't enjoy the ride until they do. ;)
