this forum style is outdated and there's nothing here to bring in new members. I mean really what is this site but a bunch of us old AGN3Ders shootin the breeze?

I only come here once a day really, and that's just out of habit. I spend most of my time on Shacknews as I love the chatty style they have there:

Hey people :)

I've simply gotten away from computers in general, typically only do research on new stuff when I uprgrade which at this rate is every few years. With being on dialup (yes, it still exists in some places) that leaves me out in the dark on a lot of things.

We're almost like a bunch of old folks here. We've done talked about every topic, there ain't much left to say!

Not to argue but as for "outdated" forum style, I remember seeing forum styles like that in the early, mid '90s.

I don't think this type forum is outdated but I do agree in that this site has nothing to offer to bring in anyone new. Heck, we old-timers rarely discuss anything relating to PCs anymore as there doesn't seem to be any reason to now. Much of what's posted now is news related and we can easily read that at any news site w/o seeing it here.

I wish we did have more active members. I know it sounds corny, but I enjoy coming here and seeing what's happening in you guy's life. Most everyone here that is active, have been here a long time. A lot of us have been through divorces, births of children, deaths of friends and family, vacation etc.

Heck, I know more about some of you then I do some of the people I see and work with everyday. And that's a good thing !!

As blade would say, " Cheers" :s mile

not sure, but if you're not a member the default style may be old school? I dunno doesn't matter, this forum isn't really outdated I guess, it does lend itself to have questions answered for everyone to easily see, which is it's purpose... :)

How are you, Dan? Glad to see your name still trollin' the forums. My lfie has been an unexciting lump of crap as of late but I still got air in my lungs so I can't complain too much :)
