CD ripping question
My wife has several audio books on CD that was given to her. What program would rip them to mp3 format?
I love dbpoweramp: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/download.htmnitro237 wrote:My wife has several audio books on CD that was given to her. What program would rip them to mp3 format?
It's free but the paid version is worth it if you have a multicore processor.
Another great and free alternative is EAC: http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
However, you'll need to manually install the lame MP3 codes which is quite easy. You need the Lame MP3 codec: http://lame.sourceforge.net/download.php. Then, when you set up EAC, you just point to where the codec is installed.
Both dbpoweramp and EAC will can connect online to give you a track listing for the cd. You'll need to set up the options on either program so they get numbered correctly.
If you need any help, just let me know.

I use Audiograbber with the LAME MP3 encoder (both free). It grabs the info from Freedb online & has almost always had title/song names (out of 400 discs of mine, probably only 3 weren't in there).
