LOL, I have to say that 12" is a whole different level of shoveling.

using a snow blower is still a ton of work after a big storm here. if it's wet, it's a lot of effort moving them around. shoveling is harder on my back, but using a machine is just a different kind of effort.

I got my "old lesson" last year moving an old heavy sofa bed out of the house. three of us were carrying it, but we had to wiggle it around a corner and I ended up one-handing in at a bad angle and really pooched my shoulder and back muscles. Didn't tear anything, but still feel it 9 months later. My doctor told me "You're too old for that, dumbass. Hire some "undocumented workers." "

I'm lucky that i've got a handyman guy just down the road - sadly I've got two sons that live a hour away and they're never available for anything. I wouldn't trust regular kids around my house to do anything without watching them...

I'm hoping that someday I'll be able to say that myself. Stuff looks nice at times but that's about it.

It's fun to drive in if you don't have to be anywhere.
