I'll be 60 next May. I have only a few strands of gray, mainly on my sideburns, but I'm losing my hair on top of my head. My little brother (54), is almost bald on top. My middle brother (57) has all his hair and a few grays.

54 and a frosting of gray. My beard, sadly, is mostly gray so I rarely let it grow. Can't see the point in using dye. Stuff my wife uses stinks when you apply it and seems like a lot of work.

There's a lot of celebs that look good with gray hair. What makes gray look bad is when your hair is mussed up. I wear a buzz cut nowadays which I think looks better on someone my age with graying hair. Also low maintenace - I have to work hard to muss up my hair. In the winter I let it grow longer but then I need to use some hair gel to keep it neat. What dye doesn't fix is that gray hairs are stiffer and want to stick out at different angles than regular hair.

I'm not sure I would ever color my hair. I guess when the grey hair really takes over (I have just a small amount) I'll consider new styles or keep it short. I don't want to go that route of coloring it, as it seems like just too much work and not worth the trouble.

I most likely will never color it but I've learned to never say never. lol

All the men on my dad's side, including me, gray early. Mine started in my late 20s. I don't color because I don't care.

I've been graying for a few years now. But nothing major. I have dyed my hair in the past, but have no interest in doing it now. I haven't started going bald yet, but when I do, I'm going Mr. Clean. If my hair doesn't want to stick around I don't want it around. haha.. On the other end of the spectrum, I'm looking forward to the George Clooney salt and pepper look. :)

Just my face hair 'cause it's been white for years (more than 10) and if I don't, my wife tells me that I look like an old man.
If I don't keep the stuff on too long (Just for men), it'll pretty much match my hair color.
The hair on my head isn't too grey but in certain lighting looks more grey and at other times. I haven't yet dyed the head hair 'cause IMO, that would look too obvious if w/o any grey. I've got no one to fool anyway, it's not like I'm youthful and trying to pick up younger women or anything.

I'd love to go Mr. Clean (or Jean-Luc Picard) but I have large scar on the back of my head from the fall I took 3 years ago (gashed it open on a chainsaw - 7 staples). You can see it through my buzz cut, but it's not too noticeablea. Not sure what it will look like with the bald look.

As it is I wear it pretty short - short enough that it doesn't need to be combed. Makes my receding hairline far more noticeable, but I don't care.

In this day in age it's more than acceptable for men to look good with a bald spot or receding hair line. What looks stupid is vain attempts to cover it up - like comb overs.

gone from the George Clooney salt and pepper look to mostly silver now. never used hair coloring. wife keep bugging me when it first started to gray to use some hair coloring -and I always said no way.
the reason for the post was the other day I ran into a old friend and his wife . they both had there hair color the same you could tell bad . on her it seem normal . but on him it really seem a funny color. he not the only friend I seen color there hair . but some of these diy hair color they use sure do seem scary after. im sure I know other who have had there hair color and didn't know .but it seem to me not one of the guys. I do know that color there hair to hide there graying . did it seem to turn out right or look like a natural hair color.
