New scam email claiming to be Amazon

Post by Executioner »

I received this email that looks legit until you read it. Has the Amazon logo etc. I contacted Amazon to let them know. You can tell by the broken English that does not make sense, and if you mouse over the link, it does not match what is shown - it's a LOT longer.

I received a response from Amazon's Fraud Service Department stating that the email is NOT a fake or scam.

For the sake of argument, let's say the e-mail is legit. I thought soliciting for Positive Reviews for the promise of an item was prohibited by Amazon.

Also, when I go to the link, it's for a Laptop battery.

I think someone at Amazon has their head up their rear.

I've seen reviews that state they were compensated. Maybe it's those.

I replied back to the person asking for the review. I want to know what they are offering as it does not make sense to me.
