Deer 1 / Sat dish 0 - Country living

Direct TV came up missing last week - no connection - did all the cables, etc. Then went out to look at the dish - some serious geometry problems between the dish and transponder. Tech came out today and took one look at it - "that's a **** mess" - replaced whole unit. I've had deer cutting across that part of the yard ever since the rut began. He agreed it was probably a deer .

Of course when I called for service, they told me it would be $99 or sign up for the service plan $100 yr. I told them I was leasing their equipment and they were responsible for it. They said I had to pay the charge if I wanted it fixed, so I told them cancel the service. Customer retention eventually gave me 60% off my bill for a year and a free service call.

If I could ever get real intenet, I 'd cancel the tv.
