Keeping up w/you on FBk,,, glad you're doing better

"Dear ones,
John is not doing well. Please pray, meditate, journey, think of him.
Radiation kicked his butt, and he didn’t have a whole lot left in him to kick. He’s eating and drinking less and less and sleeping about 23 out of every 24 hours. He’s lost 10 pounds in the past 10 days. He’s been living on Ensure Enlive and ginger ale for weeks. Today, he hasn’t drunk any Ensure. He did receive a litre of IV saline and has drunk close to a can of ginger ale.
He’s experiencing some confusion and the “lines” between past, present, and future are getting pretty fuzzy. One example: he reported watching something with our house maintenance that hasn’t happened yet, but will in the next few weeks.
I asked for a referral to Hospice and they came out today for an initial interview. I’ll hear more tomorrow.
I’ll keep you posted.

So sorry to hear. Thanks for updating us Darcy. I was kind of afraid we'd never know when the end came. Glad you're on FB with the family. My love and prayers go out to them.

I met John in person 10 years ago when he invited me to attend the 2009 Techno Security conference in Myrtle Beach with him. Had a great time. This was before he retired from the Public Defender's office. John is very knowledgeable and has a great personality.

Dug through my photo album this morning to find the one photo my wife took of John & I together during the conference. For those of you who may have never met John, here's a face to go with the name:

That is a great photo of you and John, Bob : ) ,, and I don't rightly know why I was invited to join John's private FBK page set up especially for his situation, but glad I was ,, he was always pleasant, kind, and helpful ,,, and as you say,, at least we are not all wondering of what is going on,,.
